The holding Arab Champions League ACL trophy ES Setif have started hardly ACL’s group phase as they contented with a 1-1 draw yesterday over Syria’s Al Majd. In turn the second Algeria’s representative USM Algiers have managed to clinch a precious 2-1 at home win over Morocco’s WAC Casablanca.

ES Setif have performed a low level match on Mai 8 Stadium in Setif against Syria’s Al Madjd who were the first to score thanks to their striker Radja Rafei 37’ putting ahead his team until the end of the first half. During the second half, ES Setif managed to equalize thanks its midfielder Djediat’s head kick 53’. However, USM Algiers have managed to clinch an important win 2- 1 at Bologhine Stadium against WAC Casablanca. Actually, United Algiers goalkeeper was surprised with a goal by WAC’s striker Medihi 53’, but 4 minutes later the striker Bourahli equalized for United Algiers, while the Malian striker managed to offer superiority 80’, putting, thus, United Algiers on the top of their group.
